[04/29/2005] WHGC Announces Exciting Expansion Into Taiwan and China

Newport Beach-based IP and Business Firm Breaks Ground in Asia

Newport Beach, CA (April 29, 2005) – – WHGC, P.L.C, PC, one of the fastest growing intellectual property and business litigation firms in the Western United States and Asia, announces its exciting expansion into Hsinshu, Taiwan by May 2005, Beijing, China by January 2006 and Beijing, China by July 2006. The Newport Beach , California law firm will soon have physical offices in the heart of the electronic and technology industries in order to better publicly-traded and multi-national high technology clients headquartered in Taiwan and China.

Kevin Chen, Taiwan-based patent attorney, will manage WHGC, P.L.C’ offices in Asia. “Mr. Chen’s expertise in patent law and his engineering background are valuable additions our team of in house technology and legal experts,” said Jeffrey C.P. Wang, founder and principal of WHGC, P.L.C. Having a team of technology experts who are also litigators makes WHGC, P.L.C unique. Unlike most large law firms, WHGC, P.L.C does not hire outside engineers to analyze complex patent cases. Mr. Wang added, “This recruitment strategy leads to substantial savings for our clients and less imposition on the time of our clients’ engineers.” With the upcoming WHGC, P.L.C offices in Asia, the firm will provide even more savings while continuing to provide personal service.

Mr. Chen will work closely with Mr. Wang and with other associates who work at the Southern California headquarters. Mr. Wang founded the firm in 1994 with the goal of building a preeminent law firm servicing the needs of international technology businesses located in California, the Pacific Rim and beyond. In realizing that goal, Mr. Wang has drawn heavily on his distinguished experience in representing and advising both international and domestic companies. Mr. Wang has engaged in dozens of business and intellectual property litigations before both federal and state courts. For more information about WHGC, P.L.C, contact Anna Lisa Biason.
