A Special Invitation to the 1st Annual Fair Trade and IP Symposium in Beijing October 12, 2012

Esteemed Friends and Colleagues,

I am very excited to announce the upcoming event, “Symposium on Fair Trade through IP Rights Enforcement and Anti-Dumping Actions” to be held at Peking University in Beijing on October 24, 2012. This groundbreaking conference marks a monumental moment in international trade regulation as it is the first time that U.S. Judges from the Court of Appeals Federal Circuit, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), and the United States Federal District Courts will come together to speak in Beijing on the subject of IP Enforcement and Anti-Dumping Actions.

As John Naisbitt, the author of Megatrends said, ” the new source of power is not money in the hands of a few, but information in the hands of many.” In today’s “one market world,” it is imperative for businesses to stay abreast of the latest trends in international trade regulation and the effects that these rules will have on the placement of their products and services. In the world of international trade, special attention should be paid to anti-dumping and patent rights enforcement actions. The USITC and Federal Circuit impact rulings for both patent infringement and anti-dumping policies, therefore understanding the implications of the latest decisions by the Federal Circuit and USITC proceedings can make a vital difference when developing a successful global market strategy.

This event is hosted by Peking University, one of the most respected universities in China, as well as our Strategic Partner Dacheng Law Offices and WHGC Law Firm. Our keynote speakers include Chief Judge Randall Rader from the Federal Circuit, Judge Theodore Essex from the USITC, Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal from the Northern District of California, Dean Kellye Testy from the University of Washington School of Law and Professor Sean O’Connor from the George Washington University School of Law. We hope that you will join us in Beijing.

Stay tuned for further developments!
