Victor Cheng was first admitted into the Taiwan Bar in 2002 and later admitted to the New York Bar in July 2008. He also passed the 2010 July California Bar exam but has yet been admitted to the California Bar.

Mr. Cheng primarily focuses on foreign investment in the United States, international business disputes and intellectual property law. Specifically, he assisted a variety of cross-border matters, including multi million dollar international business litigation involving the US, China, Taiwan and BVI defendants; as well as shareholder disputes and corporate law litigation.

Mr. Cheng also assisted several Taiwan-based companies with patent infringement issues, including pursuing and defending patent litigations in the United States. Mr. Cheng also assisted both US-based companies and Asia-based companies on matters involving international commercial disputes. As a New York attorney, he also represented a Taiwanese publicly traded company in litigation against Fujifilm Group for breach of contract.

In addition to litigation matters, Mr. Cheng also assisted Chinese companies on matters involving U.S. inbound investment, including corporate acquisitions and reorganizations.

Prior to joining WHGC, Mr. Cheng practiced law in Taiwan for many years. Because of his experience in both Asia and North America, he is able to integrate the strength of different legal proceedings and provide cross-border solutions.

Mr. Cheng handles cross-border legal matters and also works to bridge the gap that results from the differences between legal systems and cultures. He is also familiar with alternative dispute resolutions such as arbitration and mediation.
