Doing Business with China: WHGC Managing Partner Jeffrey C. P. Wang and Dacheng’s Senior Attorney Mr. Ziping Shu scheduled to speak at Westin Palo Alto December 5, 2011.

Palo Alto, CA — WHGC, P.L.C and the Palo Alto Area Bar Association will present “Overcoming Legal Hurdles of Foreign Investments in China” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5 at the Westin Palo Alto.

The special jointly-sponsored speaking engagement is being heldin conjunction with the announcement of the strategic alliance between WHGC and Dacheng Law Offices, the largest law firm in China.

“The complexities of foreign investment laws and regulations in China have made it difficult for U.S. investors and businessmen to be successful overseas,” said WHGC Managing Partner and Founder, Jeffrey C. P. Wang. “This seminar aims to break down into the basics and the challenges that businesses faces branching out into China including imports/exports rules, taxes advantages and potential legal liabilities.”

The forum is open to the public interested in broadening networks and to get a better understanding of the emerging demands of a global practice.

The two-hour seminar and reception covers key features of China’s current foreign investment protection policy and laws and describes how to identify and solve common problems encountered by foreign investors. Attendees can also learn from the success stories experienced by Chinese and U.S. practitioners.

Dacheng’s Senior Partner and Managing Attorney, Ziping Shu foresees the legal trend to rise with more businesses and entrepreneurs venturing to China to secure gains in the down economy.
